comScore, Inc. is seeking a creative, talented web designer to join its Data Application Engineering team. In this role you’ll be working with web developers plus key team members across the organization on the design of our next-generation analytical tools.
Job Title: Web Designer Location: Reston, VA Reports To: Information Architect
What this job is about: • Working as a key member of a small multidisciplinary team in the development of web-based analytical tools. • Creating wireframes, specifications and mock-ups and then writing the HTML/CSS/JavaScript that will be used by developers. • Designing custom graphics deliverables for top-level management and our Marketing team.
The ideal candidate will have: • 2-3 years of experience designing web-based applications • Strong design tool experience (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) • Solid understanding and experience with hand-coding development of HTML/CSS/JavaScript, with a good understanding of current web technologies including AJAX. • Strong user-interface design, familiarity with information architecture principles and how to design web sites with complex functionality. • A detail-oriented and highly communicative personality, with the ability to work independently, think critically and solve problems • A Bachelors Degree in Design (or equivalent). • Solid experience with PowerPoint is a plus. • An online portfolio or example sites available for review
