There are some great things happening within the video space now I'd like to share with everyone. Firstly, content creators are finally learning how to produce good-looking video and get their content syndicated. There are fewer barriers to entry for inexperienced video producers. This boom in content creation doesn't necessarily mean that the content is compelling - but it certainly is a sign of things to come.

Secondly, we are seeing a drive in the development sector for video-centric applications: sharing communities, aggregators, super-syndicators, vlogs, etc.. I'd also like to note that HD content is now taking off on the Internet. Computers have long been capable of HD resolutions, however, streaming it has only recently become a reality. Adobe and Microsoft are going head-to-head in this regard with new platform releases. Recruiting is accelerating in this area of development, management and content production.

So where does DC fit in?

With NYC and LA attracting much of the talent what is a guy to do in DC with video experience and Internet-savvy? Anybody around here involved in the hotness? Recommend any sites?
