I was checking to see if people might want to get together on a Saturday afternoon or something and have a wine tasting. I have become knowledgeable about wine and would not mind putting something together. This way those that are not that knowledgeable or always go to the store and pick up the same thing over and over can try different things and learn some thing at the same time.
I have done most of my learning by going weekly to a wine and cheese group that meets in DC on Tuesday nights. They have been doing this for almost 40 years.
The main thing is trying stuff; it's the old saying. “PRACTICE. PRACTICE. PRACTICE.”
The only problem I have is if the crowd gets bigger than like 10 or 15 people my place would not hold them all.
I figure we could set it up that everyone would chip in like $10 or $15 to cover most of the wine and some cheese and bread to go with them. We could have other things for people that do not drink, this way it another way to get together.
