    NPR’s Digital Media Division is seeking a Senior User Experience Architect to help articulate the needs, goals and requirements that guide NPR Digital Media projects and translate these into innovative multiplatform user experiences. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in user analysis, information architecture, visual design and front end coding, including the ability to develop high-fidelity prototypes. At least four years of professional experience with large, database-driven websites and content management systems is required. Media industry experience is a plus.     BENEFITS AND COMPEMNSATION

    National Public Radio offers a wide variety of benefits for their employees. Three medical plans, two dental plans, a vision-care plan, supplemental life insurance and other optional items are all available for the employee. In addition, all employees receive term life insurance and long-term disability.

    New employees accrue 3 weeks of annual leave per year. Leave accrual increases in increments with the maximum being six weeks at the beginning of 17 years of continuous service. Employees also receive personal and bereavement leave, and accrue 10 days of sick leave each year. NPR generally has 10 paid holidays per year. However, in fiscal 2010, from October 1, 2009 to September 30, 2010, NPR will have 7 paid holidays.

    NPR offers a retirement savings plan called a 403(b) plan. New employees are welcome to begin contributing towards their retirement immediately. After two years of employment, NPR starts making contributions based on a percentage of your employee earnings as specified in our Plan document.
