Did anyone attend today? I couldn't make it but heard good things -- anyone from our camp have a write-up?

The conference was great! Coming from a traditional web firm, it was really great to meet with the creative minds working at design agencies & traditional PR companies. Social media was a hot topic that echoed though a lot of presentations. It was refreshing to hear that people are putting a lot of thought and reasoning into when to use social media to support a brand/experience rather then just diving into the web 2.0 bandwagon.

Another consistent theme across the board is that every single local company out there is heavily recruiting for design talent. I don’t think I’ve seen the market in this area look so good for designers.

It sounds like they’re already planning more (smaller) events for the fall to expand on some of the topics from the conference.
